For the record I have since upgraded yet again to a newer ATI R7 240 card but would still be willing to test if needed. I may have a spare machine to put the 5450 or 6450 in for FAH testing to help development. I am currently (for the past couple of years in fact) only folding on my 24/7 win xp lapt...

I have since upgraded slightly to a HD6450 and have not tried folding. how do I know if a FW ver is incompatible with OpenCL? A little over my head. Thanks for the reply.

Will have to get back you with details. It is a stock Dell Inspiron 660s with a smaller compact PSU and the GPU is an Asus fanless HD5450 without any external PS connection required. C EDIT- looks like the PSU is a 220W model. I have played Portal without issues or excessive temps. Seems ok and base...

I tried 3 slots for the cpu, still had failure on gpu.

Yup brand new install, fully patched. I will try the 3 and 1 suggestion but is that normal to have to give up a core to use a gpu?
