Re: 171.64.65.102 Reject
The client does a send all when starting. It's hard coded. So unless you really want the client to not run after that batch file, there really is no need for it. ;) I really do NOT want the client to start a new WU. Because of the prohibition on switching users when running the GPU client, I need t...

Re: 171.64.65.102 Reject
I think this server goes out drinking a lot. It happens enough that I made a DOS batch file to do a send all: cd \Users\Bob\AppData\Roaming\Folding@home-gpu "\Program Files (x86)\Folding@home\Folding@home-gpu\Folding@home.exe" -send all Yeah, I could have simply made a shortcut, but for so...

Re: Project due date
HFM.NET provides the information you're looking for. It can also upload the data to an FTP site so you can keep tabs on progress while you're away from your computer. Click the "Folding status" link in my signature for an example.

Re: When good work units go bad
I used to write CAD software in a previous life, and one of my areas was importing files created by other systems. I've been writing embedded software for over 30 years. I started to write a lengthy post about validating user input, but... Let's just say that if a bad value will cause a system rese...

Re: When good work units go bad
So you're assuming various sets of initial conditions, some of which do not lead to valid solutions. For the moment, assume the hardware being used is operating correctly: Are the bad WUs when some boundary conditions are exceeded (e.g., Venus crashes into the Sun), or mathematical errors (e.g., div...

When good work units go bad
I don't understand why there are "bad" work units. In particular: 1. Exactly what is a bad work unit? 2. Why do they occur? 3. Why can't they be detected and handled automatically, instead of people having to start threads about them and moderators manually marking them as "bad"?...

Re: 171.64.65.102 Reject
Note that this thread was started 3 months ago, and there are other threads about this server going back for well over a year(!), so 171.64.65.102 has been sick for a long time. I'm just going to give up on GPU folding. Between the problems of switching users with the GPU client and dealing with thi...

It's dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again. Dead again.
Someone put it out of its misery, please. Is there euthanasia for servers?
