Re: Nvlddmkm stopped responding/recovers
that is not really what I am suggesting, none of the old drivers worked correctly either - they behaved exactly as OP described, since day 1 of my windows 10 install and running fah. the new drivers just made it worse in a very specific way, that they now crash in the same situations as before + whe...

Re: Nvlddmkm stopped responding/recovers
this only happens with folding@home (gpu) running, does not happen otherwise, not even in heavy workloads. crashes on both core18 and core21 WUs. running overclock/stock/underclock has no effect on the issue. on windows 7 I did not have this issue. just to repeat what I said earlier more clearly - i...

Re: Nvlddmkm stopped responding/recovers
what is the current status on this? I have the exact same sypmtoms as OP, fiddling with TDR delay does not help, turning TDR off results in complete desktop freeze needing a hard reset. if the frozen system is left alone for long enough, current WU apparently finishes but does not upload - actual pr...

Re: Cannot finish Core 21 WU
no it is an asus card with nvidia reference design, connected to a custom waterloop. I had my own overclock on it that I failed to consider since it was stable on everything for almost two years since I got it. should have realized that could be the issue since I know fah tends to find a way to brea...

Re: Cannot finish Core 21 WU
I did try underclocking the GPU and the WU finished without either an increase in % time of around 2 minutes or halting my PC to a crawl. I mean my PC did become noticeably less responsive running the WU (no other GPU project/core so far did this on my PC), which is pretty annoying but nowhere near ...

Re: Cannot finish Core 21 WU
Development is working to determine the cause (perhaps overheating or overclocking the GPU) overheating shouldn't be a problem, my GPU temps didn't go over 45°C ...After such an error, FahCore_21 resumes work from the previous checkpoint (in this case before 1%) and very likely would have run to co...

Cannot finish Core 21 WU
Hello, today I got my first Core 21 Wor Unit and I cannot finish it - after a while of folding my PC halts to a crawl and the WU seems to be either stuck or progressing extremely slowly compared to the first couple of %. Happened as I left folding running over night to find my PC in the morning extr...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
sometimes a slot in HFM freezes at 100% after the WU has been completed and sent. This just happened again, my GPU slot (slot 0) in HFM shows a WU at 100% completion (even though that unit is already done, sent and deleted and another unit in that slot is already at 30%), the log for the unit within...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
hm, I skimmed a few pages but didn't notice, I suspected as much anyway. Thanks for the info. It is rather unfortunate that the column is named "Slot type" then. Also, I noticed that my HFM sometimes enters one WU into the WU history database multiple times for some reason, I am looking at...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
I noticed that ever since HFM started recording my WUs into the WU History Database again (thanks for that by the way), units from my SMP slot are recorded as Uniprocessor units in the database.

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
oh right, there's a log file, I didn't realize. Whenever a WU is finished, it throws an exception and the system message reads "input string has wrong format": [28.3.2012-5:19:42] - (wing-pc Slot 00) Slot Status: Paused [28.3.2012-5:19:42] - (wing-pc Slot 01) Slot Status: Paused [28.3.2012...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
I'm not sure what is going on, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but yesterday I started using HFM again after a few months hiatus from folding and I noticed that last WU in the WU history list in HFM is from 21.3.2011 (even though I stopped folding in december that year). This would indicate that wi...

Re: Project: 10124 (... well all of them apparently)
just wanted to give an update on this, the odd number of threads does indeed seem to be the issue here, just got a new project 10124 WU and it works fine so far with -smp 6. Cheers.
