Re: Windows 8

Life is full of change, to deny is to close your eyes to reality only to come back on you full circle. Since using Win 8 dev preview, I have only shutdown the system maybe 2 times for hardware change and a update. Other than that it has been purring along like happy kittens. Even done a few big WU's...

Re: PG announcement about Big Advanced Projects

What I see here is a bunch of people who have gotten carried away with folding thinking it is a competition or a race to be #1. Who are you guys/gals racing against other than yourselves. So you will not be able to fold BA WU's after 1/16/2012 unless you meet certain criteria. You can still get up t...

That is possible since they do include a developers kit with the download if you should want it.

Windows 8

Well if anyone wanted to know, currently I'm running FAH V7 on the Windows 8 Developers Build with no problems so far. Hardware is I7-920 with 6gb of ddr3 1600. Things seem to run smoothly. Installation went without a hitch. So if you have a spare machine and want to give a whirl. Currently running ...

Re: ChromiumOS Folding integration?

A diskless folding box is nothing but a pc with the os installed on a USB thumb drive, did that, no big deal, what's next? Depending on the os depends on what size thumb drive you use.

Re: Weird Points

There are some smp Wu's that fold in around 12 to 15 mins tpf that yield 10k+ points, depends on how fast your doing it. So I don't think it's anything to panic about.

Re: Intel Quick Sync - Can it be used for FAH?

From what I'm seeing of a review site actually Folding a WU as a Benchmark test. The I7-2600k is going to be a nice cpu to get. Even just the regular I7-2600 should be a winner too for A3 smp's.

I have a simple solution, manually adjust your fan speed to 60 percent or faster and watch the nan problem fade away. Works for me.

Re: Problem running Folding@Home (p11271)

Somethings is amiss. That WU is a core 15 wu, not a 78, have you updated lately? The reason I'm asking is because i'm looking at core version 2.09 on mine 11261 which is a gpu3. SO what is still using a 4 year old core?

Re: Project: 10632 (Run 64, Clone 54, Gen 2)

I thought they were to discontinue issuing 10632's until they figured out the problem of them keep being reissued after successful completions. It took 4 runs for (R91, C102, G 16) to complete on me
