New team creation

Post by makedon3 »

Hi guys and girls.
Since this is the 1st time I logged in to this forum I have a very stupid question.
What do I do if I want to create a team of my own.Do I make a report or what. You see we are a very big group of people and we want to participate in a team of our own.

Thanks in advance

Hello makedon3 and welcome to the forum

To make a team, all you have to do is to visit the Create a Team page (http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/createteam.pl), which you can access from the Stats tab on the main folding website (http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Stats). There is nothing special you really have to do; you just need to fill in the information, reconfigure your clients to match your team number, and wait for the work units to roll in.

Wow man that was fast.
Thanks for the info.I already did it and created our team.
Now a second easy (hope :D ) question.I see there is an option for a logo.Do I have to upload a pic to the site or any image hosting site is good?

Thanks again :D :D :D

For the logo, it requests the image URL. You can use any image hosting site and copy the link to that image into that text box.

One word of warning: DO NOT FORGET YOUR FOUNDER NAME OR PASSWORD. Moreover, if someday you decide to abandon the team, give the Founder Name and Password to someone else on the team so the team can continue after your demise.

I need help with this. I uploaded a logo to my Flickr and it didn't show on my Team Page. Then I made a page on Freewebs just to host the logo and it still wouldn't load the logo on my Team Page. I thought I started a thread about that yesterday but I can't find it. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

Nevermind, it magically appeared on the Team listing as I was putting up this post. Deja vu is funny.

Thanks anyway for your help. Peace. :)
