Yes, of course.

You need to use the console client, and answer yes when it asks in the configuration process if you want to run it in service mode.

CPU 6.20 client works in XP or Vista. GPU 6.20 client works in XP, may not work in Vista. SMP client not yet supported.

I run 1 GPU + 3 CPU clients on my Q9450, all as Services.

Hi

If the GPU client is run as a service, do you know if the client will shut down automatically if a game is launched? Does the frame rate suffer at all?

I don't play games. You'll have to try it on your equipment.

Running as a service should have nothing to do with either changes to the frame rate or shutting down automatically. Both the game and FAH are trying to share the resources of the GPU. Some games request exclusive use of the GPU; some do not. FAH should be responding appropriately, though I suspect that the optimization level of FahCore_11 and the driver version (both of which change from time to time) may also be factors.

I play a lot of games. Some games like Need For Speed Most Wanted can't be played with F@H GPU2 running. The FPS is the same, but from time to time (around 10-20 seconds interval) there is a big drop in it (only for a moment). Because the game is very dynamic, one of those FPS drops makes it unplayable. Many people would say "It's from your video card". Yes my video is low end (2600 XT), but games like Assassins Creed, Crysis and other that are many times hard on the video than Most Wanted, do not have any issues while F@H is running. So it depends on the game and on your hardware.
