I know you must be working hard to make things running, but I was wondering if it isn't time to realize that the 4 GPU servers doesn't cut it anymore?
It hardly goes a day now without having trouble connecting to the work servers. Sometimes my clients are stalled for hours, which isn't good for any of us.
Is there some way you could add a 5th GPU work server within a reasonable time frame? If not, what's stopping you? If it's money then by all means say so and I'm sure we can rally for some support.
Peace
edit: Hm, you already have idle servers I see now. Like 171.64.122.75, which has been in standby mode for some time. My vote goes to that being the 5th GPU work server!
When can we expect more GPU servers online?

According to their Blog, they're already replacing their kludgy back-end software with some professionally developed code and they are asking the IT department to be put into a separate network because the firewall dealing with incoming traffic seemed to be overloaded handling both F@H and the rest of the university's traffic.
So the situation is expected to improve soon.

Re: When can we expect more GPU servers online?
The main fix that will help short term is getting on a new net. There's progress there, but we haven't been given an ETA from IT (but it seems close, i.e. several days not several weeks). Once the net issue is resolved, we can then start to plan new servers as needed and we can get the CS's up and working again (the CS's are all on the bad net right now). The GPU server issue is very much on our minds.

I'm glad to hear, hope things go as planned for you soon.
