Project: 2621 (Run 71, Clone 50, Gen 16)

Post by Penknife2 »

I received thei work unit and it caused the program to halt with the message that Folding@home Core Shutdown: UNKNOWN_ERROR CoreStatus = 79 (121). I deleted the work unit from the work folder and restarted the program. Upon restart a new work unit was loaded and the program proceeded to process the work. However, upon completion of that work unit I again received assignment of the project 2621 WU and the machine again stopped with the same error. I have deleted the WU again and the machine is now running another work unit, but this 2621 WU seems to have problems. I found another user elsewhere in the forums having the same problem with the same WU. This needs to be flagged as bad or it will continue to waste processor time. I know I lost 4 days on one of my machines due to this WU.

There is also some similar reports in client specific forums ... and I don't have anything new to post about the issue :(

I am now up to the tenth restart on my machines caused by the same WU group. Everytime I get the message:
[20:19:55] Project: 2621 (Run 71, Clone 50, Gen 16)
[20:19:55]
[20:19:55] Assembly optimizations on if available.
[20:19:55] Entering M.D.
[20:20:02] Protein: p2621_p1475_tet1_03_1 t= 20000.00000
[20:20:02]
[20:20:02] Writing local files
[20:20:02] Gromacs error.
[20:20:02]
[20:20:02] Folding@home Core Shutdown: UNKNOWN_ERROR
[20:20:06] CoreStatus = 79 (121)
[20:20:06] Client-core communications error: ERROR 0x79
[20:20:06] This is a sign of more serious problems, shutting down.
[20:45:44] + Working...

Flushing the WU and restarting results in a new assignment and it works fine. Whenever, this WU appears on any of my machines it causes the error and restart.
