Hi all.
Lately, I seem to notice that when my computer gets new work units, it seems to be downloading the same five or six project numbers over and again; only the other did I get a project number had not seen before. Is this due to the fact that I have chosen to only fold the smaller work units because I'm folding on a medium spec laptop?
Cheers,
Pete.
Seems like same project numbers over and over again.

Re: Seems like same project numbers over and over again.
Hi again folks,
I think I may have found the answer to my problem whilst doing a Google search on runs, clones, and gens. The Google search results pointed to another post in this forum that explained that each project has a different starting point for the protein, and the results sent back from all the different starting points allow the folding to be examined in great depth.
So, now that I know that, I'm not so worried about folding the same project numbers over and over again, and, as long as work units under 5 MB keep getting put on the server, my humble little medium spec laptop will keep folding for a long time to come.
