Trying to get setup.

Post by StillinSchool »

I have downloaded the Client and installed it.

During the initial run, I am presented with the possibility of joining a team. I would like to create a team.

The simple and VAGUE instruction of "See the Folding@Home web site to find out how to start a team" needs to be more helpful.
Your main page is even less than helpful as there is nothing pointing to creating an account, team, or the likes.

I attempted to use the FAQ, not helpful.
I attempted to use the SEARCH, very much not helpful.

I attempted to find an EMAIL to contact someone, if its there, this is like trying to find how to make a team, Just another item to frustrate people.

So I finally opened the STATS page, found a link, but it appears to time out before a page will ever appear.

So here I am.

Frustrated to say the least.

Welcome to the forums and the fold!

Normally the stats page is the place to do it, but the stats server is having some major issues at the moment (points totals have been going down instead of up, the last 3 hours of stats have not appeared at all, no access to speak of), which is why the page will not load. I do think that it could be better phrased on the client though.

I've added a question/answer on the Download Page, next to the question about how to choose a user name, about how to choose or start a team. That should help for next time.

I am trying to get set up. Well that was a little while ago and I still can't figure this out. I am trying to be on a certain team. I am not on the right team and it keeps not putting me on the right team. In one place it says I am on the right team but everywhere else it doesn't appear that I am on that team. Help....
