(howto)(mac os) uninstall v7?

Hello ,

installed v7 on the MacPro but would like to uninstall since it is too loud for the room
(40 centigrade ambient temperature making it hot)

now the guide does not finish the tutorial

nevermind, found one, but is this the proper one?

it states macosx 10.6.4 and am using 10.14,

That tutorial page lost an edit in a server move. The uninstaller was included in the client install package later on, go to the Folding@home folder in Applications. The OS version listed on that page was a minimum, nothing changed later on to need modification of the uninstaller script.

The os version you see on the download directory is actually the name of the build worker, which has nothing to do with requirements or even the version of os used to build the software.

Like Joe said, first look in /Applications/Folding@home

There have been occasional changes. Uninstaller 0.1.0 is not the right one.

If noise is the only issue, you can reduce noise by reducing the number of threads. That can significantly reduce both heat and noise.

40 degrees C ambient is pretty high.
