Donation goals

Post by Ncard00 »

https://foldingathome.org/faq/donation/

I know Folding@Home has descriptions for different amounts of donations, on the page linked above, but the BOINC project RNA World has specific goals, with different amounts of money required, and progress bar showing the progress of funding these goals.

https://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/donations.php

How come Folding@Home doesn't have this, not instead, but as well, as well as an estimated annual donation amount, so people can see what the projects actually need money for, and if they would even benefit from more money in the first place?

What do you all think of this idea?

Goals put pressure on the donors, who are already donating the most important thing: their hardware.
This is my opinion and not the stance of FAH Consortium.
