How to Optimize GPU Folding Performance for New Contributors?

Post by eliascroft1630 »

I'm new to Folding@home and just set up my system to contribute using my NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU. I've noticed my work units are taking longer than expected, and my PPD (Points Per Day) seems lower than what others report for similar hardware. Could anyone share tips on optimizing GPU folding performance? Are there specific settings in the Folding@home client I should tweak, or is it more about system configuration (e.g., drivers, power settings)? Any advice on troubleshooting or maximizing contribution efficiency would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If you are on Linux, what is the output of the command "nvidia-smi dmon -s pcmut -c 60"? It will collect and output GPU usage statistics for 60 seconds.
