Hello,
I am a long time folder but out of touch with modern GPUs.
Would you all be able to recommend to me what GPU would be best for folding on a $300 and $400 budget? The budget is just for the GPU, The system will be an AM5 platform with a beefy PSU. Looking to maximize the work that can be done on these budgets.
I will be buying the card(s) new.
I appreciate your help in advance! Thank you!
Recommended GPU for for ~$300 and ~$400

What else you are using it for? Note that NV have released a new series this week the RTX 5000 series, this should mean the previous 4000 drop in price a bit soon but the now 2 generations 'out of date' 3000 series should drop considerably. I am using a RTX 3070 on windows currently generating 4-5 MPPD so something like this or better the Ti version should be easily in that price range. The RTX 4070 which is even better may soon be in this price range.
For me and I use for folding but the RTX 3070 is also a gamer the X070 or X070ti are the affordable/performance level of cards for whatever series.
This all could turn upside down with new releases but unless you want very low power use these cards are at functional/affordable sweet spot.

Re: Recommended GPU for for ~$300 and ~$400
$300 - RTX 4060
$400 - RTX 4060Ti
If you see one for $400, The 4070 gets double the points of a 4060Ti

I suspect and these dollar amounts are USD that RTX 4070s could be close to this if you wait a bit, right now the value will be in the 3000 series if you need to have something immediately.
