Hello,
I used to run FAH on a Laptop running Win 7, but it died. I now have a Dell XPS 15 9500 WIN 10 with a SSD Drive. My question is, will running FAH on it significantly shorten it's lifespan?
Thank You
James

Technically, an SSD wears by write actions. Fah writes a bit of logging and job/checkpoint/result data, but not excessively so. Pesonally I don't worry about it. When running Fah on a laptop I'd worry more about cooling, and with an older laptop if it's fairly clean inside (too much dust with cause cooling issues).
SSD drives are rated for a number of terabytes written, I believe generally 100's to 1000's times its capacity. On modern SSD's you can find both the manufacturer, type and total amount of data written to that disk with smartmon tools, although I can't say for sure if that will work on your laptop. Smartmon will also provide other health info on the drive. You will probably have to google the TBW rating of the given drive, afaik that info is missing in smartmon output.
