Problems Uploading WU

Post by Jack S »

I have been having problems with uploading WU's. Some will upload with no problem and others will not at all. At this time I have 3 in the queue which will not up load. 2 are 7-8 months old and 1 3 days. I have seen some comments on forced manual up load and mention of deleting old items from queue. How do I do those things? and any idea why up load won't work?
Thanks

Please post your FAHlog.txt ... it will help us if we can see what errors you're getting ...

Copy the contents of the log file stored in your Folding folder and paste it into your post when replying. Then select the entire block of text you just pasted, hit the code button on the reply screen and voila! thats it.

The quick reply feature at the bottom of this page doesnt show the code buttons.

Boy, I sure hate to sound stupid, but I don't know how to copy & paste, or where to find the file. I know I can find the log file by right clicking the icon on the bar, is that it?
Thanks

Since there has been no further info,I assume there no answer to the up load problem. How about my other questions, how do I delete the old items from the queue and do a manual up load?

Thanks

There is no manual uploading, although you might be able to send it to a teammate who may be able to upload it from their machine. (That would be a good test to see if the problem is in your machine or at Stanford.)

The client has a command line flag -delete N and you could use it three times, for N=2, N=3, and N=4. The wiki has detailed instructions about how to use command line flags.

----------------

Nobody has asked you to disable your firewall or security software and try uploading. That might be blocking your upload.

Two things: You need to read what I wrote (above) and you need to figure out why those WUs didn't upload when they were new.
1) Use the -delete N flag.
2) Have the "old WUs" expired? Have you turned OFF the setting for Use IE Settings?
