folding with CPU only; GPU added but was disabled

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

folding with CPU only; GPU added but was disabled

When I started folding it only showed CPU being used. I added GPU (GTX560) in configuration but it showed disabled. How can I enable the GPU it so I can be used it for folding.

The GTX 560 is no longer supported for folding. It is based on the Fermi microarchitecture that does not fully support OpenCL 1.2 and was removed from the supported list over a year ago. The oldest Nvidia cards supported are based on Kepler, and will use OpenCL. Maxwell based and newer cards can use CUDA for F@h GPU processing.

Thanks for letting me know. That means it is only using its AMD Phenom II X4 960T CPU for folding. If you think it best I will stop that computer from folding.

BTW, the amount of points it will contribute is not much since my other computers combined are averaging over 4 million points per day.

Unless you do not pay for electricity, you may find it cheaper to buy a more modern CPU.

Your 2008 CPU only supports 128 bit math and some current CPUs support 512 bits at a time. (F@H only supports 256 bits currently)

It really doesn't matter since it's not much better than the CPU you gave a link to. I am going to at least have it finish the unit it started.

My other computers have the following GPU's that are folding OK: GTX1060, RTX3060, RTX3060-Ti.

BTW, I am not totally new to Folding@home because over 10 years ago I folded for team DevFolding (12912). I am currently using the same user name I used back then.
