One of the guys in our team has recently moved house into an area where presently only Dialup is available. He wants to know how he can automate his connection on his WinXP machines. The FAQ says it can be done but doesn't go into details. Has anyone done this and if so can they point him in the right direction?
Thanks,
Pete

Re: Folding with Dialup?
I believe there is an option that will allow him to establish connection when something (FAH for example) is trying to connect. There is also an option that would allow him to disconnect after a certain inactivity timeout.
But if he pays based on the time he spend connected, I wouldn't trust this as it sometimes forget to drop the connection.
His best solution might be to configure the client to prompt before attempting to connect ... he will loose some cycles, but it's better than having a huge phone bill
