What about this imaginary, unsupported Intel GPU I have?
With the arrival of version 7.6.21, I've grown a GPU of sorts, which appears as "gpu:0:2 Gen9p5/GT2 [UHD Graphics 630]"
As I understand things, Intel GPUs aren't supported because they're not at all useful. It's marked as "Disabled" in the "Status" display of the controller.
However, if I set the available core count in slot 0 to -1, the presence of this make-believe GPU restricts the number of cores I can use to 5, instead of 6.
It's unlikely I'll want to run with all 6 cores active, but right now I'm just trying to figure out just how many cores I can use before my PC catches fire.
Any way to make this appendage disappear?

For now just leave the Intel iGPU disabled.
No way to have it disappear, detection of the Intel iGPU is part of getting the client ready for possible future use for folding. Currently F@h does not have dedicated servers for internal testing, so some Intel iGPUs are enabled for internal testers to get WUs from some of the current projects for testing. The last I checked they were working through the code to check for any calculation errors and determining the available performance that can be obtained from them. At some point in the future they may release this to beta testing on a wider range of projects and systems.
Another approach to utilizing the intel iGPU is available in the code the current CPU FAHCore_A8 is based on. There is an option to use an iGPU or regular GPU to accelerate some of the calculations done and speed up overall processing on CPUs.

Thanks for the information. I was under the impression that the capabilities of Intel's embedded GPUs were so limited as to not be useful in this application. If I live so long, maybe I'll see it in my next PC.
I do see that Intel is (or is about to start) marketing a more-or-less genuine GPU-only device.

You can still set the cpu slot to use all six cores ... use the advanced control and just enter 6 instead of -1

The low end Intel iGPUs may end up being too limited to be used for GPU folding, but may be good enough for use with a future CPU core to accelerate some vector calculations as I mentioned above. The higher end iGPUs have theoretical performance that would be equivalent to a GT1030 or GTX 1050, not the speediest GPU but sufficient for GPU folding on the smaller WUs.

Your imaginary is listed as Intel Gen9.5. The provisional list that is being tested includes Gen9 and greater. The older ones are provisionally consider too slow; newer ones provisionally accepted. Aside from older ones being too slow, they gave errors ... potentially hardware errors and potentially OpenCL code errors. Bringing a new family of hardware on-line requires a lot of coordination between their support team (in this case Intel) and FAH's development teams (including OpenMM and GROMACS teams) and until there is an official announcement there's no assurance that the development will be successful,

If indeed it is using the UHD 630 (do you have a GPU-Z monitor showing that it is busy?) it should be about 1/3 as powerful as a GT 1030.

Sorry, I don't. It did the one WU and is now waiting again. All I have is the log, and you can infer the relative speed and computational power by the WU and TPF. I do believe the Intel GPUs are still in beta, so you'll need to continue to use the beta flag.

If none of that is working, and presumedly the adaptation of your GPU, it could be a workaround... of course not the most comfortable one. I mean, by selling the current one, and try to get another one that is supported by the software.
I understand that the price difference from yours sold as second-hand does not compensate with the price of another new one, but the time you will reduce with head up probably is worth, maybe this list of GPUs with different prices can help you, good luck!
