Please note that there's a huge demand for GPU WUs and supply is struggling right now. Work is underway to meet the demand but it will take a bit of time. In the meantime, you can simply leave your clients running and eventually it will get WUs to fold

To get good guesses, you need to give us hints.
If you post the first 200 lines of your log where it lists what software you are running, and what hardware you are running on, what drivers are loaded, and how you configured your system; our guesses as to what is wrong will improve a lot!

After contributing nothing to F@H for some years, I bought some new parts and upgraded an old Linux box with a 6-core Ryzen 5 and a GTX 2060 card.
Seeing as the card is getting no WUs at all and only 10 threads are being run on the Ryzen instead of 12 (in order to tend to the GPU, and not to have the messy number of 11 threads), would it be better to just disable the GPU until WUs are usually available? It's not much of a difference and it's not much of a CPU, but every bit counts, I guess.
Opinions?

I have four machines running Folding@home:
1: W7 with 2x CUDA GeForce GTX 1070 (2x) OpenCL 1.2 CUDA 10.0.132/417.71 & Virtualbox 6.0.14 this machine is OK.
2: W10 with 2x ATi ATI Radeon HD 5700/6750/6770 series (Juniper) (2x) OpenCL 2.0 AMD-APP (1800.11)/1800.11 (VM) & Virtualbox 6.0.14 the GPUs get no WUs.
3: Linux Debian Buster with 1x CUDA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER OpenCL 1.2 CUDA 10.2.109/440.44 & Virtualbox libc 2.28 (Debian GLIBC 2.28-10)] the GPU gets no WUs.
4: Linux Debian Buster with 2x CUDA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (2x) OpenCL 1.2 CUDA 10.1.173/418.74 & Virtualbox libc 2.28 (Debian GLIBC 2.28-10)] the GPUs get no WUs.
That's a lot of expensive hardware doing nothing. Any thoughts please?

The interfaces are different on the different machines, and not all the log files are "apparently' available. 
P.S. I can't login to the F@h site in order to set general preferences, or profile, well anything. I don't know if all four machines are reporting correctly, I appreciate you're all fantastically busy with new members and trying to find them work, but the site needs more access, the best thing would be to come under the BOINC wing and let the project be controlled like any other, in my humble opinion, not being sarcastic, I really want to help. Donating (via PayPal anyway) doesn't work, have tried to send money three times, nada!

Please note that across all the supported OS (Windows, Linux, macOS) the log files should be present in the default locations unless the installation is customized or it was never successfully installed or the client never ran after a successful installation.
There's no Donor profile preferences/settings like there is for BOINC. Also, F@H predates BOINC and there are technical differences between they way those distributed projects are managed. Having them merged is unlikely IMO.

The Linux machines have to use https://client.foldingathome.org/ since the "fah control" would not install correctly and had to be deleted. Therefore I have no access to log files or setting up GPUs. The Radeon GPUs have never been offered any work either. I have a fifth machine under the name "FlintstoneFrog" which is running similar hardware to my smaller Linux machine only under W7, and that works perfectly:

Just a thought: Fahcontrol requires Python2. Debian Buster normally contains Python 2.7 and 3.7 but perhaps 2.7 was removed?

The log files are in /var/lib/fahclient. You can get to that with a terminal. Also with a terminal you can also set up GPUs by editing the config.xml you will find there.
