Releasing Client

Post by FL_Folder »

Good day, Folders. When I started this I had several devices folding while I monitored via 'Adv Ctl'. Now I'm at home with 2 of these devices. However, they will not run - they want to reconnect to the hive. The config applet in AdvCtl does have the remote tab. Is there another way to reset the remote settings?

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Please explain what you mean when you said they won't run and want to reconnect to the hive. What are you trying to do?

I have 2 devices that were running beautifully while in my office with other devices. I had all of them connected via the AdvCtl.
I removed these two from that console to bring home and it appears that they did not fully disconnect and are trying to re-connect.
Web Control does not connect to the client.
Advanced Control shows Client: local updating, and Configure has one tab for Connection with all options greyed-out.
I have stopped/restarted, removed/added/removed, changed IP, even re-installed.
Is there something else I can try?

When you reinstalled did you check the box to remove the data?

I did not see that as an option [did simple reinstall]. Performed uninstall - checked the box - then reinstalled. Appears to have corrected the issue.
Thank you!
Is there a way to possibly avoid this when I move back to work?

Please note that if you do not own the hardware used for folding, you will need permission (usually written) from the owner of the system.

Can you please elaborate your use case? Why are you re-installing F@H when you're physically moving the device from location A to location B?
