Completed WU 11741 (0, 6359, 14) fails to upload

[CoxTH]

My client has completed the aforementioned WU and has been attempting to upload it for hours. I have restarted my client, but this doesn't seem to have fixed the issue. Here are the corresponding logs:

My guess is that the upload succeeded, but it's not showing in the stats yet.

I don't think so. The WU is still listed in my client in the "Send" status. If it had been received by the server, it would be gone from my client, wouldn't it?

In theory, that's how it works. Recent upgrade seems to result in this issue, where the WU has uploaded but the server gives PLEASE_WAIT instead of acknowledging. We're still tying down the circumstances and consequences.
Remind me here tomorrow if the situation persists and I'll check again.

We've had a number of uploads fail which did not include the last 3 messages so it seems that there's a little more information now, even if it doesn't tell us anything new. I consider this as progress since a day or two ago.

I did check on project:11741 run:0 clone:6359 gen:14. It has been assigned and has failed several times and reassigned. One of the uploaded results was deemed acceptable, so the science has moved on. That means that scientifically, your results are now non-essential to the research. Traditionally, you'd be awarded points anyway and that may or may not be happening. (We'll have to see.) Since your client could not confirm the upload was successful, it will keep trying until the 8-day final deadline.

The server may or may know all of that information. If it did, it would process the WU as a redundant upload and discard it but give you credit anyway. I'm sure somebody will figure out how to have that happen one of these days because nobody needs the repeated upload attempts.
