Abandoning a WU

Post by psjrg »

Is there a way to inform the assignment servers that you have abandoned a WU? I have a machine I want to stop folding on, but its in the middle of a WU with a long finish. I figure with the current load it might be better to see if there's a way to abandon it rather than letting it expire. That way it can be assigned to someone else.

There is a thread discussing this ... try a search on "what really happens when you delete" that might find it - if is recent... sorry on phone so not easy to find and link for you

To stop folding a WU, I have to pause it first. Press Window+ R, enter "appdata". Go to Roaming/FAHClient/work/ and delete the WU folder. I'm not sure if that abandoned WU will be assigned to someone else but once you delete it, you can download another WU to fold on
