Can I fold when VPN is turned on

Located in Canada, and I almost always have my VPN turned on. VPN Server can be in Canada or Iceland.
I am noobie, but noticed a problem in logs with me being assigned work units. I understand the wu servers are being overloaded with new users.
In 24 hours though the Folding Web Control says I have earned over 165,000 points :)

I would prefer to do my folding with VPN turned on. Will this be an issue for FOlding@Home??

No. I use VPN too and everything works fine.
