Hi!
I just got this after the news about Nvidia. When using the viewer I get that the connection is always 'trying' and the protein is just the demo one. Have I missed a setting somewhere? Both my GPU and CPU are in use at the moment. I've tried using my [ and ] keys to switch slots but to no avail.
EDIT: Some more info, in case it's useful.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro on the latest version of the software (downloaded today). I have a GTX 1060 and an i5-7300HQ.
Thanks!

Re: Visualization not connecting

FAHViewer is nice to look at, but fixing it is way down on the bug priority list. It doesn't change the scientific contribution.

Ach, that's a bummer! I saw a post like that from a few years ago and hoped it had been fixedbruce wrote:Yep, it's a known problem.

It has been fixed and then unfixed again. If you have the previous version of the Windows FAHClient somwere, some folks report copying the previous version of FAHViewer on top of the current version makes it work. Be careful.

These steps allowed me to run the FAH 7.4.4 viewer with a FAH 7.5.1 client with Windows 10 Build 1903 and a Nvidia GTX 1060 with driver 442.59
Uninstall the FAH 7.5.1 client from Windows. During this uninstall, choose the option to keep data.
Reboot (superstitious step)
Custom install the FAH 7.4.4 client. Choose a different path for the data directory during the install. (a precaution) .
After the installation, copy the 7.4.4 program folder to a location of your choice.

Custom install the FAH 7.5.1 client. During this install, choose the original path for the 7.5.1 data if you have a prior 7.5.1 install.

Run FAHViewer.exe from the 7.4.4 directory you copied. Note that the viewer also uses the GPU which means folding performance will drop while viewing.
