FAH is working together with Rosetta?

Hey all. After a while of not folding I decided to give it another go. One of the projects assigned to me talked about cooperation with the Baker Lab. You know, the lab behind Rosetta@Home!

So does this mean that both projects are actively working together?

In this case, Rosetta is a kind of brute force study that doesn't go very in deep of what happens, so they use it to select the best candidates that are then studied more deeply on FAH.

There are lots of opportunities for collaboration. Rosetta is one of the best ways to design a protein to adopt a specific conformation. Folding@home is one of the best ways to understand how the protein adopts that conformation, and what sort of motions it undergoes once folded. The Voelz lab has struck up a nice collaboration drawing on both approaches.
