Failed to get ID, GPU

First Time Folder Here. I cant receive an assignment ID form the servers. Also how to i go about adding my gpu. Trying to fold with a ryzen 3 1200x and a radeon 560. Thanks for the help

This is a firewall issue. FAHClient uses the same protocols to contact FAH's web servers as a browser. Firewalls are designed to block any attempts of a program to contact a website unless the program is a "known browser" and FAHClient is not on that list. You'll have to reconfigure your security software to allow that connection to take place.

I am only using the default windows firewall and i have added a rule to allow FAH Client, i have also tried turning it off entirely and nothing. i am not using any other security software.

I can open the banner page on 65.254.110.245:8080 and on 18.218.241.186:80. Can you?

Unfortunately I don't know how to manually request an ID from those servers so we'll have to wait until tomorrow when I can talk to Development.

I see that you're connecting from a government/institutional network ... there's often hidden proxies in such networks that will prevent FAH from connecting.

You can still use your smartphone as a modem if your plan allows it. But it would require a bit of baby sitting to keep the client fed with WUs.

There are other (legal) ways to bypass such limitations, but they might not work depending on the network policy.

You can also contact your network administrator and tell him about FAH. He might eventually allow it.

Once a new installation has optained a ID, it won't need another one. It's not clear whether your college is blocking ALL downloads by FAH or if they're specifically targeting something that only applies once.

Are you sure this isn't a firewall issue on your own computer?
