Re: donor number changed
Do you mean your MachineID? or maybe CPUid? (See https://apps.foldingathome.org/cpu)
When FAHClient is installed, a CPUid is assigned. FAH servers don't know if an installation is new or a re-install, so when you do a re-install, you'll get a new CPUid. Since the old CPUid will no longer be returning WUs, the recent WU's lists only report WUs returned within a time-based window and the old CPUid is effectively retired.
If you mean your Donor ID on one of the 3rd-party stats sites, that number is not managed by FAH. You'll have to discuss that with them.

Re: donor number changed
I also changed my name to 263323 in the gui, and still no WU's are showing up.
Re: donor number changed
There was a complaint about the text that reads "Overall rank (if points are combined) nnnn out of kkkk"" and an older version that said "Rank mmmm out of kkkk" treating each donor/team entry as unique. Both could not be right because the number kkkk changes when entries are combined. That forced a change in how ranks are determined which also probably changed your donor number.
If you start from https://stats.foldingathome.org/donors by entering your name, do you get to the right place?

Re: donor number changed
yes, same place. WU are are still not showing up. last time was yesterday, I am still folding, Date of last work unit 2018-10-19 09:01:43
Also the number of clients were 0 now they show up, something must be going on on the backend.
I am not sure what you are saying in the first paragraph.

The stats are not updating, see this thread : viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30989
Re: donor number changed
The stats are now being published again. If you're still having troubles, give me the Project/Run/Clone/Gen numbers of a couple of missing WUs.

Re: donor number changed
But it's not your donor number. You have a donor name.chabgood wrote:I see, but that still does not explain why my donor number changed. very strange.
The database owns the IDs / numbers and can do what it likes with them!

Re: donor number changed
Yes, those URLs use ID. But how did you get them? What current link takes you to the wrong one?
Asking by your name gives the correct id:
https://stats.foldingathome.org/api/donor/mrmoo
You can't guarantee that a page that references an internal database id to always serve the same information. You need to access by your key which in this instance is your username.

Re: donor number changed
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a static page to bookmark to because as you've found out, id can change. It might appear static over a period of a few months or even years, but there's nothing stopping it changing every hour.chabgood wrote:I have ALWAYS used, https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/1913301.
I didn't think that page went live until June this year so it's been static for you for around 4 months this time.
