uninstall components question

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

uninstall components question

Post by dschief »

have several boxes with the following NV packages installed in addition to the basic Driver..

NV 3D Vision Control 369.04

NV 3D Vision Driver 388.43

NV PhysX system software 9.17.0524

folding is running fine, just wondering if it's safe to un-install any or all of these 3 ??

Personally, I avoid installing those as I never use them.

Yes, everything in your list is useless for FAH. You only need the graphics driver.

You can also remove the audio driver if you don't need audio over HDMI, and the Geforce Experience too (it often crashed the drivers on automatic updates so I prefer to avoid it and update manually).
