Using Fold@Home

Post by Tsygankov »

I have been told by a colleague at Temple U. that it is possible for the donors to use Fold@Home for their own projects provided we got enough points. I cannot find this info anywhere on the surface. Is this true? I would like to fold a couple of sequences.
Thanks, Alex Tsygankov, PhD, Temple U. Med.Sch.

Welcome to the folding support forum.

I have not heard of such a thing, this sounds like the details have become distorted in being passed around. Researchers can become associated with the Folding@home Consortium, it is mentioned on this page - https://folding.stanford.edu/home/about-us/.

I would also suggest talking to one of your colleagues at Temple, Vincent Voelz in the Chemistry Dept. He is currently participating in the Folding@home project and should be able to get you referrals or possibly collaborate with you.
