Is it possible to recover a lost project?

Post by PsychoX52 »

Hello,

I've started folding juts a few days ago and I wasn't really happy with the PPD my Radeon HD7950 was getting so I started fiddling with the slot settings (beta flag and OpenCL number) until it wouldn't start. So I reverted everything back to the default settings and the GPU now has a new project to fold. It was folding project 13000 and now is going for 9201. The deadline for 13000 was 10 days and it should have finished in about 5 hours. Is there a way to continue with project 13000?

Windows 7 64
i7-4770k
AMD HD 7950 (Tahiti)

Welcome to the forum.

Whether or not the Project 13000 WU can be continued will depend on what happened during that fiddling, but most likely not given the description of what you have done. Generally you should not make changes to the OpenCL number, and that probably caused the WU to be dumped. You may get another WU from that project assigned in the future, but it will not be the same one. As for the beta setting, that does not affect currently running WU's, just indicates a preference what will be downloaded. Beyond that, support for using the beta setting is not provided outside the Beta Testing forum which is read-only for non-team members.

By default the client keeps up to 16 of the most recent logs. The information to determine what happened to the Project 13000 WU will be in one of those logs. Further information on troubleshooting the client and posting logs can be found in this topic - viewtopic.php?f=61&t=26036.
