Re: Changing teams?
Difficult question ... Not the question itself but to answer it in a neutral way.
1) to get an overview about what teams are around you could have a look on the 3rd party stat sites (like here http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s= Or others as mentioned in the header of this page); or the original one from Stanford http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... =teamstats
2) I would suggest based on your non-folding interest to choose one (e.g. You like cats or dogs or PC or Mac or certain brands or countries or whatever)
3) sometimes those topics have a forum and a community, those communities could have made a folding team; the team overview pages mentioned earlier also offer links to the home of those teams (in many cases)
4) eventually you just enter the team number in your config, no approvals required.
We can't be very specific or make suggestions here as we supposed to be team neutral. In a worst case you could make your own team.

Re: Changing teams?
Please note that once you've earned points for a team those points stay with that team ... they are not transferable to your new team. When you look up your record in the Official stats you will see a set of entries for each team you folded with and a combined total at the top.
