CPU Failing to Load

I have a Dell XPS 8700 SE with Nvidia GTX 660. Its been working fine for over 9 months but recently noticed a PPD dropoff and find that the log is reporting "Failure To Access Core Package" and 21:38:18:WU01:FS00:0x17:Temperature control disabled. Requirements: single Nvidia GPU, tmax must be < 110 and twait >= 900.

Can anyone suggest a fix please?

There is no problem with your GPU folding, the error messages are all related to a problem connected with your CPU slot. A couple weeks ago an error in configuration of new Assignment Server code that was rolled out resulted in some machines being assigned work that was not supposed to be assigned to the V7 folding client. That is the attempt to download Core_b0 which is used by the NaCl Chrome client for folding.

The quickest way to fix this in your client is to remove the CPU folding slot and then recreate it. That will cause the client to dump the WU that was downloaded to use Core_b0 and then allow the client to download a WU that is appropriate for your CPU folding slot.

The message about "Temperature control disabled" is an informational messaged connected to your GPU slot and processing with Core_17. It is an optional item that can be enabled with Core_17 folding to throttle folding if the GPU temp gets past the set point. There were some issues found during testing of this option, so it is not enabled by default.
