Just FYI, I tried installing Folding@Home to a new laptop today and am running into this same issue. It first tries to retrieve a WU from 171.67.108.200:8080 which times out (likely because of work's firewall, I happened to be on lunch when I installed it) but then it tries 171.64.15.121:80 and gets the "Empty work server assignment" error.

Welcome to foldingforum.org, Parallax Abstraction.

The assignment server 171.64.65.121 is operational but cannot find any WUs which fit the criteria established by you computer. Please post your log, including the first couple pages that report what your computer is looking for, followed by a segment or two showing the errors you're reporting.
