Nv 9400GT,Windows 8,FAH V7
I added a gpu slot in the configuration tab, then a new WU appeared in Work Queue, using Core17. but all the infomation in the right panel was 'Unknown', the log said 'Unstable Machine'. What can I do to start folding with gpu? Use a new gpu?

Re: The gpu slot doesn't work
I do not think the 9400GT has OpenCL support and that is a minimum requirement to run Core_17. Even if we can get Core_17 to run on it, with only sixteen cores, I would be amazed if it could complete a Core_17 WU before the deadline. I would delete that GPU slot in v7.
For that card I believe that you will need to run the v6 GPU client so as to only get Core_11 or Core_15 projects. V6 can be run along side v7 so there is no conflict.
Note that Core_11 and Core_15 are EOL (End of Life). No new projects will be created and when the current projects finish, that will be the end.

Welcome to the F@H Forum bd_bai,
Can you please post the log file which contains your system configuration and F@H settings (viewtopic.php?f=80&t=26036)? Could you also tell us what drivers you have installed on your system.
You GPU is a pre-Fermi one so can only fold FahCore_11 WUs and not FahCore_17 WUs. V7 should correctly identify your GPU and assign you the correct WUs.
Also note that "Unknown" just means that sufficient information isn't sent from the Work Server to your Client to make some estimates. This is expected from some Work Servers running some old code. Eventually, all Work Servers will be updated so this message will not appear in the future.

Re: The gpu slot doesn't work
Pre Fermi GPU probably should not be receiving core17 work units. What was the project number in the log?
How to provide enough information to get helpful support

The Core 11 WUs my NV G205 folds are always UNKNOWN in 7.4.4, I suspect they are under 200 PPD.
