Can't upload one result. Need to check but subsequent WU are ok . How can I (re)force upload ?

When connect via browser to 155.247.166.219:8080 I get a FAH logo and "work server".

If you want to upload the WU before the next attempt, simply restart the FAHClient.

will try, last time I had a similar issue the restart dumped the WU (was on an WU not to be discussed here).

Hmm, never heard that one, maybe the WU was already uploaded and you restarted the Client before it had time to clean-up so it resumed clean-up after you restarted? A log file of before and after the restart would be nice if you still have it.

You don't need to reforce the upload as the client will try to upload again automatically in a few minutes, and keep doing that until successful or the WU expires.

As PX said, dropping a WU is not normal. But restarting a client at an inconvenient time adds to the risk of dropping a WU. Restarts during file management are still not bullet proof.

The bold line is missing from your log which means that the WU wasn't completely "packaged" for upload. From experience, I have seen that you can interrupt the upload/download of the WU without loosing any WUs (if you interrupt the download, it might be stuck in that mode until you restart the client https://fah.stanford.edu/projects/FAHClient/ticket/983). However, any interruptions while file processing tends to end up with a dumped WU.

PantherX: It took one second to zip (compress, whatever) your WU, from 20:13:36 to 20:13:37 so it's unlikely that you could have interrupted it.

It took much longer to compress the other WU, from 01:04:21 to something after 01:47:51. This indicates two things:
1) the WU was probably larger, and
2) FAH is running on a filesystem which with barriers on. Barriers can be disabled by editing /etc/fstab and adding "barrier=0" in the options section. I think this problem was introduced when EXT3 was introduced but I'm not sure about that.

Try rebooting your router. If that doesn't work, try rebooting the PC. If still no go, then please post more of your log, including system and configuration details, the full log for this WU (so we can see if it downloaded cleanly, and when), and the download of the following WU (if any).

Checking the Server Status page shows both servers as in Reject status. This status was entered about 9 AM PDT today. If not sent by another mod in the meantime, I will email the person responsible for these servers later this afternoon once I am back where I have my email contacts available.
