8018 frame times?

8018 frame times?
Have been out of folding for a few months, trying to get a handle on new stuff.
have a GTX560Ti & GTX460Se running in the same box. both caught a 8018.
The 560Ti has a est. comp time of 23.5 hrs
The 460 Se "" "" of 2.2 days
Does this sound right?? seems like a lot of time for only 5757 points

Only seems that way after running some core 17 WUs. They all need to get done, and the sooner we finish the older WUs, the sooner we all get to run 17s.

Thanks, It's probably time to Retire some of the old hardware, Was looking at GTX760's, they seem to have a fairly decent price point

Those estimates do seem quite high for P8018.
A 460 should be able to complete 2+ work units a day and a 560ti 3+. ( I've used both and checked my HFM history )
Sometimes the estimates can be way off at the beginning but it's usually more accurate after completing 3 or 4 frames.
If the estimates don't change after that you may have a problem with the configuration which could be causing both work units to be processed on the same GPU or there could be a power problem but there's not enough info to determine exactly what's going on yet.
You can use something like GPU-z to determine if both GPUs are being used.
If you continue to have difficulty please supply a log showing your System Info, Config and the first few frames from each WU. If you need help with the log please see this post. If you're using v6 scroll up from that post.

Running V 7.3.6
Slot 00 = GTX460Se; shows 16.31 % completed & 8 hr 8 min to go
Slot 01 = GTX560Ti; Shows 5.42% completed & still has 22 hrs 30 to go
something is hinky the 460 Se is running WAY faster than the 560Ti

Right click on Slot 00 and select Pause. Continue to check estimates for Slot 01.

Just noticed you edited your previous post and that does confirm that something is wrong. Supplying the requested logs could help with the diagnosis.

Think I've beaten it into submission. Alot of things have changed
1. Got 2 BSOD's & systems crashes .; swapped in new 850 W PSU { unused, still in shrink wrap. Always keep a spare }
2 thought 460Se & 560Ti might not be playing nice. So I shuffled cards between boxes & paired the suspect 560Ti with another 560 Ti
then did a clean install of 327.23 driver. Things seem a lot better now Both cards have 8018, both are running frame times of 5:48.
Much better than 14 min+ I was seeing.

With two cards in the machine, it is not uncommon that the units are in fact swapped meaning card 0 identified as a 560 might in fact be the 460 and vice versa. I have seen this often. Fresh installs generally sort it out.

It should be noted that it isn't particularly important. For me it is a known issue - using Series-4-and -5-GPU together (tested under WinXP).
The Problem:
One of those GPU´s (AFAIR allways the Series5-GPU) is running only on half clock speed - visible using e.g GPU-Z.
"Playing" with this config i never was able to solve it (swap GPU´s, change driver etc . . . )
So - your decision is the best way to bypass this issue.

To bring up a different issue with 8018, it is a surprise to anyone to see some really long (15x normal) frame times? On a GTX670 they're normally about four minutes but on the last run (which finished ok) I saw a couple run to an hour or so. I'm not troubled, just curious if this happens to anyone else. I haven't seen it do that before and HFM has 95 WUs in the log. It was run 1237, clone 0, gen 319 if that helps.

There's nothing inherently wrong with a frame time of an hour (provided it has a Preferred Deadline exceeding 4 days. We've had a good number of projects with very short deadlines and a good number with significantly longer frame-times. [And, of course it depends on the speed of you hardware.]
As a (very) rough guess of the expected frame time, compare it to some other WU you've completed on your hardware and multiply or divide by the ratio of the baseline points.

I wouldn't take notice if it was consistently an hour, but I usually see 4-6 minutes per frame across some GTX 660s and GTX 670s, so seeing fliers like that struck me.
