Points & work units
I have FAH running on 5 computers, 4 of which have 2 dual core opterons & one has 2 quad core opterons. One of the dual core units also has a higher end video card & runs gpu also. Looking at the advanced control the computers do about 18,000 points a day + whatever the gpu does as it shows no statistics. I am concerned whether the work units are being returned to your server as the total score you show only increases maybe 5000 points a day.

Re: Points & work units
Not all servers supply the client with the data needed to make PPD estimates so the fact that the GPU shows no statistics is not be too bothersome. I
Next, do you have a passkey configured for your clients? The client assumes that you are getting a quick return bonus (QRB) and that bonus can be many times the base point value of a WU. To get the QRB, you need a passkey and to qualify that passkey by doing 10 QRB WU's and then you must also maintain at least an 80% successful return rate. Re: Points & work units
Thank you for the reply. I must be going blind in my old age. I read the instructions 3 times & never did see that info. I thought the passkey was just a security thing which I really didn't worry about. At least you apparently did get the results which is the main thing. I am still not sure if I should use the same passkey on all the computers or why the score is different in the team stats & individual stats or why it hasn't changed in the last day even though 4 projects completed in that time. .

Re: Points & work units
Use the same passkey on all of them. You need to complete 10 bonus-eligible WUs per passkey (i.e. not the GPU WUs currently in public release, which don't have bonuses) to start earning bonuses, so it'll be much quicker to have all of them contributing to one passkey rather than having 5 different ones. You'd actually need 5 different email addresses to get 5 passkeys for the same user name; the passkey is generated from the name and email address, so entering the same name and address will just re-send the same passkey.

Re: Points & work units
A passkey won't produce additional QRB points till you have successfully completed 10 QRB eligible WU's. Yes, use the same passkey on all your computers and the 10 WU's will get completed that much quicker. 4 is a start, but you have 6 more to go...
As far as team vs individual stats being different or why it hasn't changed. I need more information like team and user names and if you are getting the info using the official stats or a 3rd party stat site. If you supply the specific Project (run, gen, clone) numbers I can tell you exactly how many points were given for each WU.

Re: Points & work units
The number of computers/CPU's listed in the stats is only a rough estimate that is not particularly accurate. It doesn't count computers as much as clients/slots and a re-install/update can easily change that number without the number of computers actually changing.
I looked at your team and individual stats and they do differ by a small amount (11 WU's and 7,846 points). I don't know why but most likely is is just a timing difference between when the two pages were last updated.

Re: Points & work units
Checking the other computers today there have been at least 4 work units returned in the last 36 hours, none of which show in the stats. This is qhay originally concerned me as I have no way of knowing if your server is actually receiving the work units.

If you supply Project (run, gen, clone) numbers from the logs then I can manually check what happened.

I obviously don't understand your log file. Entire file from this computer follows; I will probably not be at the shop to check the others until Sunday

Re: Points & work units
What specifically do you not understand? What you have included in your post is just part of a log file, I assume copied from the window in FAHControl. The actual log file is stored on your drive. Using Refresh in that window should reload the log from the beginning. The window otherwise shows that you changed the configuration, and the progress on the WU after that change.
P.S. I have edited your post to show the log in a scrolling window. You can do that by placing Code tags around the log entries that you paste into the posting window. You can add those manually, or using the Full Editor to post they are selectable from the top of the posting window.

Re: Points & work units
i thought the estimated points per day shown on the FAH control was somewhere close to accurate. Apparently that is not the case as the score only increases about that much but that is what made me wonder if the work units were being returned.

Re: Points & work units
The estimated PPD assumes QRB and if you are not getting that, it can be significantly high. If do much starting and stopping the estimates can be long way off for several frames: I've seen multi-million PPD's for something that should generate 15K PPD ...
I've found that HFM.net tends to be more accurate and more flexible in how it estimates PPD's than the v7 clients.
