For what it's worth, I was able to replicate the errors in the second
log snippet by removing a machine from the net and starting the client.

However, I don't think that's your issue - I think it was likely FAHClient itself.
The first log snippet you posted shows the upload completing at 11:15:59,
after which the client did nothing for the next five hours. (16:11:57)
I seriously doubt that had anything to do with DNS/network issues.
What, if anything, happened between 16:11:57 and 03:09:20?
At what point did you stop/restart the client and/or reboot?
How much CPU was/is FAHClient using?
