BigAdv Problem.

Post by Qinsp »

I have no idea how you get bigadv to run on 7.2.9 under Linux.

I hit the FINISH button and let it complete the SMP job. When it sent the job back then I went to switch over.

I went into the Expert>Clientside>Add>client-type>bigadv>save

It pretty much just put the computer on hold. No more log entries.

It listed two slots on the bottom window of STATUS (Finishing+Ready). But only listed one slot FINISHING on the top completed SMP slot that had already sent it's job home according to the log.

I then QUIT>launch FAH, but nothing changed. Still in a holding pattern. No CPU activity.

What am I doing wrong? User McSwain team 195247. I just reset everything and started folding SMP16 again.

As with troubleshooting all problems, it helps to post the system specs and a sample of the problem from the log.

Remove the expert option that you added earlier (client-size = bigadv) since you really don't want that applied to all slots. What you want is to supply that option to only the SMP slot. You also need to set max-packet-size to big to the SMP slot

Expert ->Configure ->Slots ->SMP ->Edit ->Add; name=client-type; value=bigadv ->OK->Add; name=Max-packet-size; value=big ->OK ->OK ->Save
