i use the FAHViewer remotely. does this incur any overhead on the folding machine?

I am currently folding just on the 5x GTX 460's for aprox. 70K PPD - Location: Salem. OR USA
Re: remote viewing
I don't know, I haven't tried that experiment but it should not be hard to occasionally interrupt the viewer and look at the estimated PPD from FAHControl for that machine and compare it to the PPD's when you are not viewing. Try to use the same WU for both and at least let it run for 3 frames on each to allow the PPD's to stabilize.

Re: remote viewing
using p8056(62,21,11) there was no difference in frame times with the viewer on. there was no difference in ppd with the viewer on. so short answer: no. at least according to my observations over 3 frames with viewer on and 3 frames with viewer off.
