Just finished installing. Already confused.

Post by thegingerfox »

I finished the download, finished the install, joined my team, and now i am at a standstill. I am on the novice view and i see two choices in my Work Queue. (hopefully there will be a pic). All i want to do is choose one and start to fold, but the fold button doesn't do anything. I need a simple explanation to start me off.
Thanks

Hello thegingerfox, welcome to the forum, and to folding.

Give the display a few minutes to download some work, and establish an accurate ETA.

You don't have to push any buttons, it starts folding automatically, assuming no install problems. :)

Thanks, IDK if it is really slow, or if it just updates slowly. I do have one at .8 % now.

You've got two WUs. They should both be processed at the same time, since its quite likely one is running on your CPU and the other on your GPU. From your screenshot, things look fine to me.

Serious work takes time. ;)

As long as both say "Running" then all is good. 8-)

Care to share info on the hardware the two clients/slots are running on? That and a log file is the easist way to tell if it's running slow or not. Or if it's a configuration issue..
