Passkey and PS3 folding

Post by Hellmark »

Hi, I'm fairly new to folding. I have 2 PS3s that I've been folding on, as well as an i3 machine. Everywhere I see recommends using a passkey, but, the PS3 doesn't support passkeys. Correct me if I am wrong, but would having a passkey prevent me from using my username on my PS3s?

Prevent you from using your username? No of course not.
Passkeys are used to distinguish you and other people using your username.
Anyone can use your username, but if you want to see your own contributions you can search for your passkey.
At least that's how I understand it ;)

I have a PS3 folding 24/7, just using your username should work fine.

I have heard of no plans to support Passkeys on the PS3 client -- of course anything can happen. (There are a lot of things going on that I don't know about.) No changes have been made to that client in a LONG time.
