Is my work counting??
Hello,
I just started up with Folding Home a week or so ago. I looked at my stats and see that the last bit of credit I got was from 2008. I have started up again and run for many days but see no credit at all. How to tell if my number crunching is counting or not? My folding home name is RMouse.
Thanks!!!

Best way for us to find out is copy your log into a post. But make sure you use
Code: Select all
tags found in the "Full editor"

Are you sure you entered your proper donor name and did not leave the default of anonymous? I see no RMouse or Rmouse with any active CPUs in the last 90 days. Do a search on your machine(s) for FAHlog.txt file and post your configuration output as mentioned.

Thanks to everyone for their replies! I am folding on a Dell Latitude E6400 with Intel Core 2 Duo.7im wrote:Hello RMouse, welcome to the forum.

While working on my reply to this post, I found on the problem. I am not RMouse in my client. I am RattyM. Using RattyM I find my stats.
So my work is counting! OK, a few more questions if I may ask.
My stats say that I have one WU. What exactly does this mean? I have been folding for many days now and have completed several tasks (not sure what to call them, they reach 100% and the are uploaded to the sever and a new one assigned). Should I have more than one WU?
My PC has a Core 2 Duo and a video card. Right now I am working on two files at a time. Should that be three? Should the CPU work on 2 files and the GPU one?
Thanks!!
Re: Is my work counting??
You might be working on two files (2 WUs) if you have a SMP slot and a GPU slot or you might be working on three WUs at the same time if you have cofigured your system to run two Uniprocessor slots plus a GPU slot. The default installation is SMP which uses both CPUs cooperatively on the same WU. SMP results are more valuable than a larger quantity of simpler WUs that would be completed by Uniprocessor slots.
According to the information I can see, RattyM has successfully completed one WU for Project 8004
If you posted the log from your client as 7im asked, we could tell a lot more.
Where Can I Find The FAHlog?
Step 1: Using the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner, change to Advanced Mode.
Step 2: Click the "Log" tab.
Step 3: Deselect the "Follow" checkbox. Turning this off prevents the occasional automatic scrolling to the bottom of the log.

Re: Is my work counting??
thank you. your explanation makes perfect sense. I am running the default set up, one SMP slot and one GPU slot.bruce wrote:You might be working on two files (2 WUs) if you have a SMP slot and a GPU slot or you might be working on three WUs at the same time if you have cofigured your system to run two Uniprocessor slots plus a GPU slot. The log file is enormous. I am not sure how much of that to post. I dont want to spam the thread.
Thank you very much!
