Finding the name of a machine

Post by bla4free »

I haven't been folding for a while now. I logged into a forum I haven't visited in a long time. My signature had my F@H stats on it. From the looks of it, it looked like I was still submitting WUs. I went to the Stats page, searched for my name, and it reported I had just submitted a WU a day ago. Is it possible to find out the machine name/IP address? I wondering if it's mine, or if someone else is using my name. Or maybe I have it running on a machine that I no longer have in my possession--I have given away a few desktops and laptops since I thought I stopped folding. Thanks!

Welcome to the F@H Forum bla4free,

Please note that a search for bla4free didn't show any results in our WU Database for the last 90 days so what username are you looking up?

A look-up of jprater1209 gives this:

PRCG of Last submitted WU -> Project: 6871 (Run 246, Clone 1, Gen 198)
Date -> 20 June 2012

Do note that the machine name isn't stored by our database.

Names are duplicated all the time. I just searched for "geek" and there were eleven each in a different team. A much better indicator of uniqueness is name + team # or name + passkey or even just the passkey (which is based on the email address)
