How to get FAH workunits that use alot of RAM

Post by user123 »

I've just maximized the RAM in my dual-core PC to 4 GB and I'm running Windows XP Home 32-bit. It now shows 3.25 GB RAM installed.

How can I get (or drastically increase my chances of getting) workunits that demand a large amount of RAM?

I'm running the SMP version of FAH.

I've got 12Gigs anddoing 6904s and it doesn't come close to 6Gig.

Folding isn't big on ram usage.

I believe only the SMP "bigadv" WUs use a lot of ram; to get those WUs, you need 16 CPU cores.

Folding @ home occupies a small memory.
Sorry for the translation. This aspect, obliges me to very short and concrete sentences. Little by little he will go forward, also in this field.

You do not need to do anything further to maximize the use of your RAM. None of the current Folding clients or work units will use more than you have available.
