Hi again
After upgrading to v7 my initial WU in v6.23 has been ignored. It's only about 25% complete but I'd like to finish it if possible.
Do I have to continue running v6.23 as well as v7 to get it finished or is there anyway I can force it into the v7 'queue'?
( the v6.23 is just uniprocessor and very slow compared to my properly configured v7 ).
Thanks
Dave

Re: Unfinished 6.23 WU after upgrading to v7
No, you need to complete the v6 on its own. Depending on how busy your system is, you could just let the v7 and v6 run in parallel. If you set up SMP-6 as we discussed in your previous request, there should be some spare capacity (although the SMP and the Unprocessor cores will be competing for the 4 Floating Point Units in your CPU.
BUT, on the v6, you need to force it to pause after finishing the current work unit, or it will just get another one. Your log shows that you installed the 6.23 as the "systray" client; right click the FAH icon and select "pause when done". It will complete the current WU, upload it for credit, then wait. After that, you should exit the v6 client, and probably even uninstall it to make sure it doesn't auto-start the next time you reboot or log on.

Re: Unfinished 6.23 WU after upgrading to v7
Make sure you right click the correct FAH icon. The v6 one will give you a menu :"Display - Configure - pause when done - Pause work ...". You want to "pause when done" this one.
The v7 icon will give you when you right click: "Hide window - fold - pause - finish ...". You DON'T want to pause this one.

Re: Unfinished 6.23 WU after upgrading to v7
Thank you GreyWhiskers, most helpful. I have now paused when done on 6.23. I did SMP-6 in v7 as instructed but I think it could be some time before the 6.23 WU is complete.

Re: Unfinished 6.23 WU after upgrading to v7
There is an open bug ticket that will have v7 automatically find and finish v6's WUs if any exist on the system. So this problem should become non-existant in some future update.

Thanks Jesse, it's making slow progress but will hopefully get finished in time, then I'll uninstall v6.23. On a more positive note v7 SMP & GPU is making excellent progress.
