Hey guys,
Just curious as to why i only received basepoints for this WU?
To my knowledge i have not failed this WU previously, and i completed + uploaded within the deadline.

To get bonus points you need to use a passkey, complete 10 SMP WUs, and then maintain an 80% successful return rate before the deadline. Are you doing all of those? If not, please paste the log in between Code tags and we'll see if we can help you further.

That is quite impressive and I wish my system could do that! The log is very beneficial for understanding setups and what happened in the client. Can you post it in between Code tags? Those are available under the Full Editor. I'm not sure what's going on, but the mods have access to more information than I do.Ishinomori wrote:yes, i am doing all of the above, i returned a 6904 not 7 days before hand for 300k+ points

In the WU Database:
The reason for the base points is because you took longer than the Preferred Deadline (which is 5 days) to complete the WU.Days taken to complete WU: 6.2
Hi Ishinomori (team 37726),
Your WU (P6903 R6 C20 G6) was added to the stats database on 2011-12-07 11:08:17 for 22706 points of credit.

Thank you for the reply.
That doesn't seem right, as according to my times it only took 4d 6hrs to complete, which is the average time frame for a 6903 on my system.
Rather confused to be honest. :-S

Re: Project: 6903 (Run 6, Clone 20, Gen 6)
Others have reported a similar issue occasionally. According to the server records, that WU was assigned to you at: 2011-12-01 06:15:19 PST. What probably happened was that for some reason, the WU failed and was later reassigned. If it was downloaded more than once, the oldest data-time is used.
If you can locate an older log showing the events surrounding 2011-12-01 15:15:19 UTC, please post it so we know what happened.

Re: Project: 6903 (Run 6, Clone 20, Gen 6)
Sure, I'll post up the log of around that time.
I've searched through my FAHlog's and did not come across another 6903 with that run number, and I know that I had not failed a WU for weeks now.
Is received a 6901 and was working on that for 2 days prior to my 6903, do you think it's possible that I was assigned 2 WU at the same time?

Re: Project: 6903 (Run 6, Clone 20, Gen 6)
I'm not sure how this happens, which is why I want to see the log. If I can gather enough data to identify what actually causes this sort of issue, I can probably get somebody to fix it, but it's not common enough for anybody to have categorized what might have happened.

Re: Project: 6903 (Run 6, Clone 20, Gen 6)
The log you posted only start from 15:44:57. You have to post the log surrounding 15:15:19-UTC as stated by Bruce.bruce wrote:...If you can locate an older log showing the events surrounding 2011-12-01 15:15:19 UTC, please post it so we know what happened.
Re: Project: 6903 (Run 6, Clone 20, Gen 6)
Your log starting with the message [15:44:57] - Error: Could not get length of results file work/wuresults_07.dat does not show what happened during the preceding hour ... around [15:15:19] ... so that's not helpful. It does look like there was probably a WU there that failed.
This type of problem seems to happen more frequently to people who use Langouste. We've never been able to determine whether that's an important factor or not, but it is possible. As I said earlier, we don't have any conclusive evidence other than the server's record that it did issue the WU to you.
You'll be happy to know that V7 manages the downloads and uploads in much the same way as Langouste so your slow internet connection will be less of a problem than it is when you use V6 without Langouste.

Ok, thank's for your help guys, i think i'll just give langouste the boot, and close/re-open FAH client so it searches for a new WU.
