Foldit is an interesting solution to folding proteins

Please confine these topics to things that would be of general interest to those who are interested in FAH which don't fall into any other category.

Foldit

Basically its a game where you try and solve a protein 'puzzle' to predict a proteins structure.
Its more similar to Rosetta than Folding but it has more of a human thing than a cpu thing(Am i unclear?)

It was built by the Rosetta people, so naturally it's more like Rosetta. ;)

It's kind of fun and it does give you a visual indication of some of the things that FAH has to go through (except that FAH has to figure out how to do it "blindfolded").

For those who have played it, Gromacs contains something called "shake"

I too saw this pop up all over the place over the past day.

I would be interested to hear from someone in Pande Group to see how foldit complements or, in my opinion unlikely, substitutes f@h.

I don't think it will come as a surprise to anyone, but foldit demonstrates that humans and computers "think" differently about spatial-relationships.
