Cannot get any WU for the last 3 days for Mac OSX

Post by totsubo »

I'm running F@H on my mac mini and for the last few days I'm getting these messages in my log. I've let the client run for a while day and after attempt #27 I restarted it but still no WU.

Is this something I need to fix on my end or it's simply a problem with the Access servers and I need to wait for it to be resolved

Hello totsubo, welcome to the forum.

What client version? Needs to be v6.29 for continued processing... try this or one of the other updates.

6.29.3, OS X 10.5+, Installer Version, now posted

I'm using InCrease and from what I can see the version it's using is 6.24R1. I would have thought it would automatically alert me if there were any updates that needed to be downloaded.

I've update to 6.29R1 and that seems to have fixed it.

As an aside I am using InCrease since I often have to pause F@H, e.g. when watching movies, and the F@H official client was a pain to use for pausing and then restarting. Has it gotten any better or could you recommend a better client to use than InCrease?

Increase seems to be the best solution for your purposes.

FYI, fahcores do update automatically. Fah clients do not update automatically. Too often, the client update contains changes that require user intervention, like answering new setup questions. And so client updates are not automated. :(

Thanks for all the help! I'll keep using InCrease for now and fold away!
